If birch planks are changed then birch stairs would need to be as well as both are used for roofing.

Well stair and slab blocks usually take their textures from the planks texture, so that's not really an issue.

I have some more suggestions.

1. I think that current gold blocks already make for good dwemer metal. They could be just slightly more orange but the actual texture is good.
2. The actual candle could be more yellow/white-ish instead of red
3. Iron bars can already be used as grates, I think that iron trapdoors should have a stone texture with no holes in them so they can be used as thin walls.

Fixes:
- Custom music fixed, vanilla music should no longer play in-game

Additions:
- End Rod changed to "Dwemer Lamp"
- End Brick changed to "White Brick"
- Chorus Plant changed to "Ashland Tree"
- Iron Trap Door changed to "Iron Grate"
- Redstone Torch changed to "Red Candle"
- Purpur Blocks changed to "Blue Stone"

Changes:
- Piston and Sticky Piston tops redesigned
- Quartz Blocks reverted to vanilla, now seamless on all sides
- Carved Stone Brick reverted to previous custom design
- Carved Sandstone reverted to previous custom design
- Wooden Doors redesigned, now match wood types
- Andesite Blocks color slightly desaturated
- Gold Blocks changed to "Dwemer Metal"
- Sea Lantern changed to "Varla Stone"
- Grass Path Block sides updated
- Birch Planks lightened

----------

This was a barebones update to get the new blocks into the game for building; additional changes, as well as new armors and weapons will be updated in incremental patches as variants are implemented.

Report any and all problems here, with screen caps if possible, please.

How do I download it? The changes haven't been applied to the server resource pack.

If possible I would like to have one of the 2x2 paintings be of those fur wall coverings that are found in many of Skyrim's houses.

We have been given permission to upgrade our resource pack from Chivalry to Excalibur!

Made by the same creator, Excalibur carries over the feel of Chivalry, but with more detailed 3D block and item models, and a sharper, darker look. Before we make the upgrade official, the staff would like to suggest you all try out the pack yourselves and make a note of any texture/item issues that you have, or suggestions for changes that you think might further improve the look and feel of your builds.

Changes we are planning to make to Excalibur include the following:
- Paintings -> replace our TES-themed artwork
- Stained Glass -> make colors less saturated
- Quartz Block -> make texture seamless
- Purpur Blocks -> make color more blue
- Pumpkin Block -> removal of jack o' lantern face
- Wool Blocks/Carpets -> make textures softer
- Items/Inventory Icons -> fix mismatched icons and items
- Grass Path -> make color more yellow
- Iron Trap Door -> replace with metal grating
- Wooden Trap Door -> texture redesign
- Cauldron Block -> removal of texture variants

Updates will be added as we think of them, or if your suggestions are approved by the staff.

I have some extra suggestions:

- Grass Path -> make the color more yellow
=> It is green now which looks nicer on grass but not on podzol (look at Riften and the entrance of Fort Dawnguard)

- Iron Trapdoor -> Thinner edges
=> Just like what was done with the chivalry trapdoor, so it makes for nice grates

- Painting -> keep the barred window design
=> In excalibur, one of the paintings looks like a barred window. placing it on barrier blocks on both ends gives a nice lightsource and window. though 2x2 is a bit large, it might be an idea to turn a 1x1 painting into this, so you can decide the size and shape yourself.

- Fence Gate (Birch, Jungle, Dark oak) -> Make them fit the new fence designs
=> The new fences are amazing, i wish we had every design in every color now. :D But these three gates have the original texture, it would be nice if they fit in with their new fence designs.

- Leaves (Fast graphics) -> Add a texture for fast graphics
=> As of now, the leaves get an ugly one shade of green texture to fill up the holes, oak gets black for some reason.
looks especially weird on the new red leaves of the birch tree. (Having optifine forces it to be fancy though)

That all for now, if i come up with others, ill place them under this line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Sticky Piston -> Make the side texture the same as the bottom
=>Gives me a better texture for the walls of Fort Dawnguard than the current furnaces :P

Hello Samus, some of your suggestions have been added to the list, as well as a few more. Please keep in mind that I'm only working with textures, I'm not a modeler, so I can only change the texture of the fence but not the shape.

Issues with leaf blocks aren't yet a priority because we are looking at using new models for them. I'll keep this thread updated if and when we sort that out.

Paintings will probably be a mix of our art and some of Excalibur's decorative options, if the window idea gets enough support then we'll see how we work it into the pack.
